Visitor Interpretive Experience Planning
This is the official NAI training course for interpretive planners and takes participants through every step of the Visitor Interpretive Experience planning process, while applying it to the site where the workshop is being held to create an interpretive experience for one target audience.
This 5-day workshop includes all components of the Plan for Success workshop plus the opportunity to apply them to a real-life situation. Participants will:
- gain practical experience applying the planning process
- have experience working on a planning team
- have a product that can be applied toward NAI Interpretive Planner Certification
Instructor:
Dr. David Bucy, principal of Bucy Associates, brings more than 30 years of planning and teaching experience plus degrees in Environmental Interpretation (B.S.), Planning (M.S.) and Communication Theory (Ph.D.) to the workshop. In addition to preparing interpretive plans, Dave trains interpretive planners and is a frequent presenter at both national and international conferences. He is the only certified interpretive planner trainer for the National Association for Interpretation (NAI).
